What is Tyvek®?
Tyvek® is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the
same ingredient used in food packaging, such as milk or water jugs. It is
nontoxic, chemically inert, naturally white and contains no binders or
fillers.
There's only a small premium for waterproof maps (vs. paper
maps), yet they last for years.
Waterproof map coverage focuses on
recreational areas of Canada such as national and provincial parks, "cottage
